NPR program with Dr. Greger!
I had planned to send you a newsflash announcement a few days prior to the airing of this show on Wednesday this week – and then the Camp Fire hit. Then, a few days after our evacuation from the fire and in the midst of our ongoing refugee status, Greg and I were running errands in
town when we just happened to switch on the radio. I heard my voice and then turned to Greg and said “That’s me!” I looked at the clock and saw that it was time for the airing of the program Dr. Greger and I had recently recorded, and our show was on. We talk about his book How Not to Die, what he's going to write about next, and the show wraps with juicy talk about plant-based Thanksgivings.

As for us, we continue to navigate life as displaced persons, not knowing when we will be able to return to our home and what we will find there. Even if standing, the community has been vaporized and the air and environs very toxic. Yet we are more fortunate than so many who lost loved ones, their lives, or experienced untold trauma in their escape.
