Hi ,
Everyone who makes a conscious decision to change their life in this most fundamental way - what is on your plate - is an advocate and activist.
You are advocating for a change, - and you are
taking action in that dimension closest to you: your home, your family, perhaps even your community.
There are also those who take on the mantle of advocacy on a bigger stage, and who do some of the front lines work taking a stand for better conditions for all and social justice for the
voiceless. Not each of us has the opportunity, or frankly, the courage to do just that. Which is why I am grateful to these people for their public activities that are making a difference for a better, kinder world for all.
A webinar I presented this week has just been posted for you that addresses the crucial role that mindfulness practices, and mindfulness meditation can play in sustainability of advocacy and activism. Hosted by In Defense of Animals, I had been
asked by their Director of Sustainable Activism, Lisa Levinson, to present this webinar on The Mindful Vegan and mindfulness practices in honor of Activist Appreciation Month. You will find the replay of this webinar presentation, including a slide show,
here. To a kinder, gentler world for all, Lani
