a personal note from Lani                                         May 6, 2010

Hi !

"Putting on my best black dress pants this morning  I thought HUH?

"Where did my thighs go??? These pants used to drop from my hips very differently the last time I wore them."

Pat M, a smart, very successful businesswoman with her own company, and one of the very special group of women in my FitDream Fusion Inner Circle Memberhship, posted these comments just yesterday in the Gams, Glutes, Abs and Arms for Summer online course area.

And she has more to say...

"I sure am getting feelings of almost AWE that I can eat more freely this way and still lose weight - or even let's say FINALLY lose weight... because I have been plateaued in my weight for a few years already, in spite of pretty active efforts to lose weight.

"Lani, thanks so much for your encouragement of our FitDream Team. I feel such loyalty to this group and our group MOJO. It is sustaining me and spurring me on to efforts I have not been able to make before. And I'm down 23 inches in the last 3 months."

I am very proud of - and excited for - Pat and her progressive success.  She's taken the tools, applied my simple system, and as night follows day, is reaping the rewards.

Watch for other exciting fitness, body shaping and energy progress from more of these fantastic women.   I had to pick and choose which to publish today, that's how well it's going!

OK, so I'm sneaking in more photos from our recent trip to Mexico.  Can you believe this wall of bougainvillea?  It positively dwarfs me.  I guess that's one way I can feel petite - stand by giant botanicals.

And more good news, I've got another short video for you to wrap up my series on excessive anterior pelvic tilt.

Sound fancy?  It just means your popping your tail out and your belly is pooching forward.

The problem is pain in the back and bad posture that can result. In today's Feature Article you'll find Part 5:  Strengthening exercises to offset excessive anterior pelvic tilt.

Be sure to pop on over to my blog and watch the video I made for you!

Hearts, hugs and stars

Strengthening Exercises to Correct Excessive Anterior Pelvic Tilt: Part 5 of 5
by Lani Muelrath, M.A.

Do you suffer from either or both of the following:

    * low back pain?
    * belly pooch?

Because maybe, just maybe, you've got an excessive anterior pelvic tilt situation going on.

This is a situation you do not want to allow to persist, because the problems with discomfort and the potential for increasingly poor posture will only grow.

PLUS it can contribute to belly pooch.

I've already shown you some very effective stretches for offsetting muscle tightness that can contribute to the over tilt of the top of the top of the pelvis forward:  See Stretches To Correct Excessive Anterior Pelvic Tilt, Part 4.

These stretches are important because of common, chronic tightness in these muscles:

    * Psoas
    * Rectus Femoris
    * Lumbar Erectors

But here's the thing. The relative tightness of these muscles creates excessive tension that "shuts off" other muscles that are crucial to posture and alignment, specifically:

    * Gluteals
    * Hamstrings
    * Abdominals

Strengthen as well as stretch for best results!

This means that not only do you need to address stretching those over tight muscles, you need to develop strength in the group that has become weakened.
