![]() Have you a summer shape up plan?
I wanted to have mine in place before the first day of summer officially hit. Yes, I aspire to stay trim and fit year 'round, yet with my travel adventure lifestyle component the "workout" schedule and ideal dietary plan don't always follow suit!
And with 5 weeks out of the past couple of months being spent in far flung corners of the planet, now that I'm back home I'm eagerly back into some structure to my fitness plan. You'll see what I mean in the Feature Article below.
The lines were full on Tuesday night's TeleSeminar with my guest Heather Petrie. Heather shared her personal health and fitness success story, told us about her blooming business, and gave us some inside scoop on form tips that helped her lose a size in 2 weeks in preparation for her People Magazine T-Tapp photo shoot. Thanks everyone who came to the call and of course Heather as well!
Next TeleSeminar in the series you won't want to miss: Carrie Pierce, skin care expert. Every time I talk to Carrie I learn something new about changes in women's skin as we progress through landmark years in our lives. She has also recently done some research for me on the topic of cellulite (watch for the article soon!). See links for signups and info in Upcoming Events below.
Next week I'm off to scout out the location for November's Mud, Muscles, and Merlot Retreat. I'll be meeting with my contacts there and will send you word soon!
PLUS the countdown is underway to signup for the Woman's Fitness Blueprint Fall Session. I know summer is still to officially arrive yet never too soon to plan ahead for a big event such as this always proves to be.

![]() Summer Shape-Up Plan Here's mine. What's yours?

With 3 weeks out of the last 7 being on travel adventure of one form or another, my usual fitness routine has been a mix of eclectic alternatives.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining.
Central to my fitness dream is to have an exercise and eating lifestyle that WORKS no matter what kind of wild and woolly adventure I'm on.
So that I can have heaps of fun,
eat freely, without any of the ravages of OCD (that's obsessive
compulsive dieting, in the event you don't know) from the old days.
Happy to say it all went splendidly this time as well. Starting with our Oaxaca trekking followed closely by scuba adventure in the Dutch Antilles, I returned right in the weight range per usual. Eating foods I enjoy, and staying active, yes.
But without the structured workouts.
Or fretting about every morsel on my plate (whew!).
I enjoy these forays from the usual workout routine for many reasons.
1) It gives a great mental break
2) It gives the body a chance to recoup and regroup.
3) When I return, I'm refreshed and motivated to get back to that good feeling that comes from a workout well done.
You know, where the muscles have been worked to the max and you feel like Superwoman?
Sure, I was plenty active on our
travels. Mostly walking, hiking, and schlepping scuba tanks. For
now, I"ll keep up the walking and re-up on targeting muscle work, alignment, and
overall conditioning.
Targeted muscle work cinches in the muscles and gives you the girdle effect from nose to knees. I love the feeling.
My Summer Super-Shaper Plan
First, I swear on
a stack of legwarmers (I hear they're back in) that I can get all the
"workout" I need to stay in primo shape in under four hours a week.
Not including my walk time, which is more like an amble to the lake.
That's just fun time. Daily.
Plus, I like to keep it simple. Like this:
