Hi

Yes, my amateur videography is taking on new dimensions!

More on that in a minute.

Our recent trip to Oaxaca was filled with extraordinary adventures.

For example, I've never seen a cactus quite like this one (picture left), have you?  Now that's ONE way for a tall woman like me to feel petite!

I continued to post several articles on my column at Examiner.com while in Mexico and I've got to tell you that web traffic to my column was HUGE.  I'm sure it was my stimulating writing and wit and not the flurry of attention about the Swine Flu!  ;-)

Other things - including my ventures in videography on our travels -  eclipsed the "plague" story.  Read more about it in today's Feature Article.

Remember, professional organizer Elizabeth Hagen will be my TeleClass guest on Monday, June 8 - more on Elizabeth below in Upcoming Events.

I hope you have a lovely week!

Overcoming Obstacles To Achieve The Extraordinary:

My Video Interview With Author And Mountain Climber John Harlin

by Lani Muelrath, M.A.

An unexpected feature of our recent Oaxaca  adventure was the new friendships we formed.

Friendships and encounters with some people who  have extraordinary stories to tell.

Our casa in the hills made us temporary neighbors with a  world-class mountain climber, an accomplished artist, and the creator of one of Mexico's first and foremost animal shelters!

And not only did we get to hang out at the pool each evening, the pool high on the hillside that we all shared, as we watched the sunset dramatically unfold;  I also got a chance to interview a few of them with my handy Flip Cam - so that I could bring their stories back to you!

You see, the whole idea for me around fitness, health, energy, and well-being is that they deliver to you a spirited, energetic body and spirit so that you can move your life forward and do extraordinary things while enjoying completely your daily life.

That means creating the life that you love, making the contribution that is uniquely yours, and having the energy and vitality to do and enjoy it all.

I know so many people who exemplify this spirit.   And there is an unmistakable vitality and resiliency to be, do, and accomplish when fitness and health are priorities and a personal investment, too.

Such was the case with the individuals that I interviewed on video last week.

Follow this link to view Video #1, which is with world class mountain climber John Harlin. It's  loaded and ready to play on my blog.  His story was featured in an IMAX film not long ago titled "The Alps"; perhaps you've seen it?

And watch for my other interview series: "extraordinary women doing extraordinary things" coming soon - as soon as I can get them edited!
