How are you? I hope this finds you and yours well. For me, this day is filled with a combination of joy and sadness, grief and hope. I have just been through an experience that I am inspired to share with you. You will find what I have written to you in detail here:
http://lanimuelrath.com/my-three-weeks-with-three-wild-turkeys/
I know it has been a very, very long time since I have written. We have all morphed through changes with our current global health situation, haven't we? Combined with other personal circumstances, things have unfolded for many of us in ways least expected and unprecedented.
For me, the last several months have been very quiet and contemplative for the most part. Living in the country edged up against a giant state park has lent itself to lots of time filled outdoors, either walking or biking or managing the gardens, meadows, and trees outside our front door.
And then about three weeks ago, a new adventure crossed my path.
Three wild turkeys were delivered to our property as a stepping stone to be reintegrated into the wild, as we live right up against a 5,000 acre park. But the journey was filled with unexpected twists and turns, happiness and heartache. I have lots of pictures and details for you here.
I hope you will come by and see the short video clips of what this experience has been like for me. And the details of the story. For as much as we had anticipated a wild release for these three, something else was in store for them....
With heartfelt wishes for a winter-into-spring that brings peace and happiness to you,
Love,
Lani
